Which is the best blinding for my scrapbook album - basics

When you going to make a scrapbook album first you need to select the kind of structure, I know everybody knows it, but not that all! that's the reason I'm going to share the kind of structure that you need (the photos in the plications there are not mine, but you can find more information below in the photo).

Accordion,
This structure is very simple only you need to attach one page in the front cover and the last to de back cover, the pages are folded like zigzag but when do I use? normally use for a simple album, only photos, and any structure.

Stack the Deck,
For this blinding you need to stack the structure in U shapes, you start from the center and add more pages in pairs, you stack another base with at least 1/2in. of each other. This blinding is not too strong and you need to paste each page to the cardstock to each side of the U shape as you can see in the photo from Laura Denison Design

Spine Blinding, This is the most common, blinding and is strong, to hold several page…

Semi-rigid Gift Box - Layering stamp

I'm so happy to present my 3D project for my second Level for Altenew Academy. This occasion I want to share my knowledge in crafting and combine with one of the techniques that teach Altenew, so I decided to make a gift box with all the lid decoration in layering stamping and the matching card; with the detailed Stamp set Magnolia from Altenew. I love the layering stamps because they are very easy to combine and create beautiful detail with it.

Well, to start let me enlist the supplies:
FOR THE GIFT BOX
- Altenew Stamp set Built-a-flower Magnolia
- Dye ink Deep Blue Sea, Green Fields and Expresso
-2pc cardstock 12in x 12in (one for the lid and the other for the base). For this box, I used Martha Steward Essential paper pad in gold and silver colors.
-2pc cardstock 12in x 12in for the interior part, cut it at:
4pc at 5 7/8in x 4 9/16in
2pc at 5 7/8in x 5 7/8in
- 2 medium weight  chipboard 12in x 12in you can find it in your art store. You are going to cut in this dimensions:
2pc at 5 7/8in x 5 7/8in
4pc at 2 1/4in x 5 7/8in
- Scissors, Teflon bone folder, strong adhesive or double side adhesive tape, 12 x 12 Score table, Stamp platform, Guillotine paper trimmer 12in by 12in

1.- Start with the lid one of the cardstock (12in x 12in) scoring at 1", 2", 3", 9", 10" and 11"turn to the right and scored again. Do the same for the base of the box -remember scored on the side that you want to show.

2.- Decoration of the lid, use one of the already scored cardstock and start stamping with Altenew Stamp set Built-a-flower Magnolia in one of the corners of the small square scored then you only rotate the cardstock and continue stamping; after you have the four side stamping, you can proceed with the second line.

3. Once you have the first layer you can start with the color layers, start with the lighter color, then the med shade and finally the stronger for more details; I recommend you to stamp one color each time in the entire cardstock, and then continue with the second color.

4. Ensemble the lid and the base, first adhere the chipboard (5 7/8in x 5 7/8in) to the back of the cardstock in the scored center square.
You need to cut in one of the sides and cut through the 3in in the scored lines, in the left and the right side (in the scored line 3in and 9in). Rotate and cut 2in (in the scored line 3in and 9in) to make a flip that measures 1in x 2in  as you can see in the photo.

Mark all the scored lines with your Teflon bone folder, and paste the flips to the opposite side to have an angle, make the same in the four, then adhere the first line and then the second ones; finally, you have the base and the lid.

5. Now prepare the interior part, you need to cover the four sidelong fo the interior support with the cardstock (2 1/4in x 5 7/8in) then put some strong adhesive in the side of the base to paste the lateral part, as shown in the photo.

6. Finally, cover the central base with the cardstock (5 7/8in x 5 7/8in) in both sections, maybe you need to refine in case that doesn't fit.

For the card, I used the same Stamp Set, stamping over the ivory cardstock the Magnolia, layering with the same colors of the box, I stamped twice, because I die-cutting to made a bunch of flowers.

I use foam tape to give dimension to the flowers and for the sentiment. My advice, if usually, the sentiments don't fit or it is not aligned, I recommend to use a ruler that has the zero in the middle like Tim Holtz 12in ruler.

I hope you like this project, and if you still have doubts please leave me a comment and I'm glad to answer your questions. Have a good day!
